Project name: Special support for children – Munkhsaikhan

Munkhsaikhan is a boy who lives next to the Ulaan Khulut landfill and is responsible for providing for his family.
In order to create an environment for the education and health of a boy living in difficult circumstances, World Share aims to provide school supplies, food, and medical support.
As a result of special support, the following positive changes have occurred in the life of Munkhsaikhan.
- It helped improve emotional stability and communication skills.
It has helped with mood stability, self-expression, and positive relationships with others.
- It laid the foundation for a desire to learn and independent learning.
By providing them with school supplies and working with educational institutions, they were able to catch up on their academic progress, and their self-directed learning and self-confidence began to recover. - Health monitoring and good habits
Regular health check-ups, hygiene advice, and training helped them develop healthy habits in their daily lives.
Munkhsaikhan’s comment:
“I look forward to the day when the World Share teachers come. It gives me great joy when the teachers come to visit me. I had a hard time keeping up with my studies at my previous school, so I decided to transfer to another school. I am happy that the new school I have transferred to has a special program for children who have learning difficulties like me. I will study harder and study better in the future.”
Comments from a project worker at the ‘World Share’ branch in Mongolia:
Munkhsaikhan is a child from the WorldShare Mongolia orphanage. In 2019, a policy change was made in Mongolia to close the orphanage, and the children who lived there returned to their lives near the Ulan Khulut landfill.
Munkhsaikhan returned with his sister, who was living in the orphanage with him at the time, and now lives with his sister and her sister’s child.
Munkhsaikhan participated in a long-term child support project, but it was difficult to provide support due to difficulties in contact and regular absences from school.
But with this special support, we were able to work more closely with Munkhsaikhan and provide regular monitoring and support. The greatest encouragement for us was that he stabilized emotionally, tried to change himself, and started smiling again.
Psychological and practical support has been an important impetus for Munkhsaikhan’s personal development, and it is believed that continued and consistent support tailored to his needs is necessary.
